Planning to go YOLO and want to try skydiving for the first time with some buddies.
Any good spots close to GTA or Kitchener/Cambridge/Guelph?

Thanks

I've been to skydive Toronto a bunch of times. It's a blast. It's just in cookstown

Stay away from this company called "Second Time Lucky".

;)

+1

What was scary with them was the engine of the airplane making a skipping sound every now and then. I would check with pilot to see his reaction, **** got a lot more scarier when I saw he was wearing a chute as well LOL

Hey , well at least you're not jumping out of a perfectly good plane.

OP contact Zooropa_chris on this forum. He's in the Tri-city area

How low can you go?

Burnaby is your best bet for jump height and air time. 14,000ft.

I know a bunch of guys at Skydive SWOOP in waterdown. A good bunch of guys. They dont jump as high(altitude lol) as Burnaby. 11,000ft.

Only heard BAD thing about Skydive Toronto from the skydivers I know. Heard they had a guy get his chute caught in the trail of the plane once. Almost brought the whole shebang crashing down.

I've been at Skydive Toronto before, my buddy's done his jumps there a few times...none of us went splat, so we're happy!

Some good info here. What is the weight limit? I'm 170lbs (so I'm ok) but my buddy is 230lbs (built dude).

I think my buddy was around 230-250 when he skydived so shouldn't be an issue but just be sure. Unfortunately he was just too heavy for zip lining so he's never been able to do that.

I called, my buddy should be good.

I did my solo jump at Niagara Skydive Center in Dunville. There are better places out there though, I hear jumping in the U.S (California, Las Vegas et cetra) is much more better than in Canada.

Another +1 for Skydive Burnaby. I've done 2 jumps there so far and both times the people/experience was great.
