Good Shop for a Chain install in gta

This is one of those things you should learn to do yourself.
Dont buy the cheap tool but royal does sell a decent one that I use.
If you're gonna be riding for years, one purchase of the tool will save you money and time the next time you need a chain. Takes me about 20-35 minutes for a full sprocket and chain swap depending on what bike I'm doing. Consider loading up the bike, the drive to the dealer then home then back to the dealer, load bike back up then home again... I'll just do it in the driveway thanks.

Anothrr check for a worn chain is side to side play. My mx chain is really well looked after and looks great, no kinked links but checking the side to side play of the links, I can tell its shot.

Is Ken the Bowmanville guy? or do you got Ken number by chance and his shop location?

I am in Bowmanville, if you drop by and have the chain I will put it on while you wait. Will only take a few minutes.
You really should do sprockets with it though and if you do it will take longer as the rear wheel has to come off and the front sprocket cover has to be removed, Depending on the bike that can take a couple min to half an hour for that alone. Again taking off the countershaft sprocket may require an impact gun and sometimes heat, depending on the bike.

all fairings/gas tanks/ everything is off the bike just waiting for her new rubbers and sprockets to be installed , just received the chain and sprockets from Petes today.

Ken can you pm me your location in bowmanville so if iam out there this weekend i'll load the bike in the truck and drop it off. No rush at all.

Dont come to Brantford Motorcycle that's for sure. I was in a jam ......and my 05 GSXR1000 needed a chain and rear sprocket installed on short notice. I usually do it myself but was leaving for Pennsyvania right after work.
I dropped the bike, new chain, and sprocket off at bike shop and went to work. After work I went to get the bike and was handed a bill for $189.00 + tax for just a chain install.

I told the service writer I had to hurry off on a weekend bike trip and didn't have time to argue... he had one minute to rethink his bill......and if he didn't, I would pay it, but I would never return. He said he felt that a simple chain and sprocket install ( that takes me 30-40 mins to do myself, kneeling on my garage floor or in the pits at the racetrack) was perfectly justified at $189.00!
I have 6 bikes and he lost business by screwing me one time big, rather than making a fair margin on many return visits. I also now take every opportunity to tell anyone who will listen, the story of the service theives at Brantford Motorcycle.

Whats the shop rate there? $95/hour?
