Good place to look for used bikes?

Hey guys, sorry for the offtopic but what is a reasonable price to pay for a 2011-2012 Ninja 250 ?? As you all know, they hold their value and Kijiji sellers thinks it is gold hence the prices being out of wack.

I am looking to purchase one but hate to overpay; therefore wanted to know what is a reasonable price at the moment ?

there are a lot of ads on kijiji with some asking $5000 for their 2011-2012 ninjas.....it all depends on the condition of the bike and how it was maintained

Id say 2800-3400 is a good range

That's a CBX550. A completely different animal from the CB550.

I bought a CBX550 new in 2004. Classified as a Sport Bike in its day, a Standard today. Brand new they were $ 3,300.00, by Spring of 2004 they could be had for $ 2,300.00. For whatever reason, no-one was buying them.
It was a great little bike, ahead of its time;
16 Valve In-Line 4, making 60 odd horsepower, a true 180 kph+ bike.
Air preload on the forks and the shock
Anti-dive on the forks
Rising rate Pro-Link rear suspension
Cast iron (inboard) brake rotors, great feel, dual fronts

Now that I think about it, all the specs expect weight are better than the Ninja 250. Probably 10% heavier. I got rid of mine when the bike was Black Listed and insurance jumped into the stratosphere.
Despite its age, and the original price, that particular bike looks like a good deal.
