Gone off cable TV

Yep same ones that we are all using.

my neighbor sells them if you come out my way to grab those fasteners.

cool

and thanks but got someone at work selling them, so it's really close and no travel required,,,

i I just don't have a clue on what to do, but I am sure there is plenty of info out there to be found, unless there is some specific place to visit...

Sure there are some good sites to find lots of info on facebook .. and ensure the person provides you with tech support as youll need it for the first while, and for future updates etc.

Well pizzzzz me off, the guy now can't make it until Wednesday of next week, I was really hoping to try this thing out over the 3 day weekend......

Anyone have a local lead here in Mississauga they would recommend

by the way, what is the going rate on these things ? I hear some include some sort of remote/mouse thingy

but I would like to add a blue tooth keyboard instead, any recommendations on a particular one ?

If you have a smartphone, you could use it as a remote for the device, or any bluetooth device for that matter.

Android/iOS/BB :aioRemote.net (Free)
BB: Blue Touchpad ($0.99)

Check respective play/app stores.

They sell them @ Pickering Flea market.

Also have a buddy in Oakville, i can forward you his info.

The range for the M8 is about 200 but I have seen some lately for 150 including the remote (I bought it as soon as it came out) (get the remote) apps never work well and the physical remote will help, trust me on that one (the remotes are like 20 bucks)
Contact InL3D they have reps all over hte city and you can probably get one today.

it's amazing what one can find, once one knows what to look for, and here I thought my Ipad was just so I could play Boom Beach......LOL

Now I just got to get the M8 and I am all set, I hate people that flake out at the last minute.....

I find after a year off Cable, that I have more than enough stuff to watch on Canadian Netflicks, and TV stations that put their own stuff on the Web.

So I got the M8.....

now I need someone with experience to help me understand this thing and or show me some tips and tricks in the fine art of using it, something past the basics, things to add to it, or remove, what is the best of the best for it, and how to maintain it....

Beers are on me

The one I got does have a remote with it, small just numbers on it, no letters, and it's friggen slow to use the mouse pointer part, need something better.....got one of these but it won't work, and I am not sure why....

gotta love new things to play around with....

This will get you started with everything you pretty much need including Genesis which you can use to watch all tvshow and movies
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaZFA9wxRuI

This gets you all sports (Digitele)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Vx4Zfv6BYw

This one is my favourite addon to watch live sports
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAO6CUCC_a0

But you have to first do this so you can watch the 1080 feeds

Make sure you do this to get your system buffering free

Thanks for all of that....lot's of great info right there, the only one I had issues with was the fourth one, I think more stuff got loaded that what was in the vid. so I am not sure if I missed something or it's just newer and it does more now as opposed to when buddy did the tutorial

I have not done the Digitele, then again not much into watching sports.....

This was more for the sake of movies on those nights it's boring and I have nothing better to do.....

So far I am liking the unit, it's not so hard to use, I am getting a better understanding of it, just need to play a bit more and see what else can be done...

My only concern is putting too much on to it and killing it, I will look to see if I can backup the entire thing and then be able to do a full restore from the backup,,,,just in case I really mess things up....

Still having someone over that has more knowledge would be great, but I will muddle through it......

The greatest thing IMO is Libraries, it basically gives you a TV Folder on the main screen where all you latest episodes for the shows you watch are there automatically as soon as they are available, no need to search for any shows.

I will post the link later and some instructions on the path you need to follow since there are no videos for the Android box, only for PCs. I spent literally a month to find the path.

Anybody have experience with the Slingbox? I want to be able to roam around the house watching TV from my regular cable feed on my iPad. Seems this is the only option out there.
