Golf clubs for backyard

Any of you golfers have any clubs you're willing to part with or sell reasonably?
Looking for mostly irons? for some backyard chipping games.

Looking at other sources but thought I'd ask here as well.

Thanks

Left or right hand? I have a set that I can part with, left handed.

Edit: Just had to pull them out to look ....full set of Slazengers plus bag and covers. They are probably 20 years old, maybe more but the 'woods' are metal if that helps date them. Yours if you can use them.

Jeez that is a good question, What are the most common? I assume most people are right handed so does that mean left or right handed clubs?
I'm right handed for reference..

I am right handed but hit left in golf, baseball and hockey so probably cant help you with that determination. When you use a broom or rake or axe which hand do you have at the top? Its really only about how comfortable you are when swinging something

I'm right handed and hit golf and baseball right. Hockey either direction.

Grab a broom stick or tree branch and swing it. One way will feel easy, the other way will feel chaotic.

I’m right handed, but every sport that requires a swing is always left foot forward.

Right foot/hand forward at swinging sports just feels unnatural.

Very interesting, never even thought of this, to be honest I don't know as I've never paid attention to it. I'll figure it out. Thanks

If people are giving away clubs , get some rights and lefts so when you have people over for games , you have both covered .

Good thinking, but beggars can't be choosers

Remember to "shoot" away from the house. Especially after you replace your windows.

I wonder how many people forget to do this? (Not my window)

If you are out in KW, you can browse thru my collection and take what you need.
Appreciate the offer, if I am heading out that wat I'll send you a DM.

If you have dogs be careful. Golf balls can be just the right size to get stuck in their throat. I had the very sad experience of seeing this first hand with a dog once.

Edit: Not my dog, I was passing a vets office and a guy outside was too late and the dog passed away.

I have dogs, but will not be using golf balls these are kind of a wiffle ball and larger to be easier to hit and to see, they also don't travel as far.

I can tell you from my experience that when I swing….i never know which way that ball will go!

Left? Right? Up? Down? Backwards?

🤷🏻‍♂️

I figure that just makes the game more exciting. He’ll once or twice I almost knocked out my own teeth.

Years ago. Maybe 25 years or so, a buddy of mine and I, we went to a driving range.
It was probably my first time "golfing".
The guy at the T just to the right of me was bending down to place his ball on the T.
At the same time I swung the sliced the ball. Ball, instead of going somewhat straight went sideways and almost hit him in the head.

I have had the ball go completely backwards a couple of times, the physics must be interesting. Once about 30 feet behind me and lobbed over a fence. The other it went straight back line drive about 20 feet and hit the golf cart. The guys I were golfing with were not impressed.

My slice used to be so bad and so consistent that on most holes I’d end up standing nearly 45 degrees to where it was supposed to go.

I was super smug on dogleg rights though.

When it didn’t slice it performed miracle physics though and most times never went where I wanted it to go.

I’m not as bad now. My grip was the real fault coupled with a bad downswing.

Miracle physics was also why I stopped playing squash. That ******* little ball had never heard of Newton.
