Going from 4wd to 2wd

the amount of money you spend on removing this or rethinking that is probably more then 500 bucks ... so if you are after gas mileage, why don't you buy an old POS and drive the crap out of it for the next year ... and take your 'decent' car off the road temporarily ... here :

Yes, and if the winter is like the last one, it won't even matter that it won't work as a snowblower any more!
 
Sorry I made a mistake. Cadillac cts and sts have a rubber isolator between both faces of the driveshaft and transmission joints.

The equinox has a round ball and socket type front u joint. It is held to the output of the transmission/transfer case by 6 bolts.
