Glasses and Helmets

I'm just wondering what helmet brand do you use if your wear glasses like me? I have a Joe Rocket RTK-1000 but i want to try new brands. Hoping that your input can help narrowing it down or maybe help future questions about it. I tried Bell Vortex but that didn't fit; arrow in the other hand did.

I've read that if you have a spare pair of frames and a really tight full face helmet you can cut the part that curves around your ear off and then slide it on. The pressure from the helmet keeps it in place.

I've also read, but never tried, that modular helmets can work as you apparently are able to put them on while wearing glasses by sliding the chin portion down at the end.

My only helmet is a Bell Custom 500. It's a 3/4 and is glasses friendly. Quite comfortable.

I do want to also have a modular or full face however.

I use a Shoei Multitec which has a flip front. This makes putting on and taking off glasses easy. I use frameless Silhouette which are a pain with any full face helmet but are quite manageable with the Shoei. I prefer the fit of a Shoei over any other brand.

I have tried shoei, arai and agv with no issues with my glasses.

Very thin and flexible wire frames are much more comfortable.

I have a RF-1100 and a pair of really thin-framed glasses, and although annoying to put on (with the helmet) they fit fine/don't bug me afterwards. Also helps that they are the 'bendy-frame' type, so they are insanely flexible.

I also have a Shoei, but the RF-1000. I have no problems with my glasses. I've tried other helmets on that were too tight or wrapped around my temples too far and they were wide enough to accept glasses. You definitely can't go wrong with a Shoei. They are great helmets.

New Shark helmets have removable padding at the temples to accommodate glasses. Works quite well.

I have both a Bell Arrow and a Shoei Qwest, and both work fine with my glasses. My glasses are the plastic frame type, so they have thicker arms than the wire type. Still not a problem with either helmet though.

You can also customize the cheekpads in the Shoei as well.

Its a softer pad where the arm of the glasses are, you don't need to remove it. I have a Shark Evoline 3 modular and it works well. I still take my glasses off when I put the helmet on, but its fairly easy to slide them in, then tighten the chin strap and lower the chin bar.

I've got a Shoei RF-1100 and some very thick framed glasses. Fits no problem. The only issue is when I'm at a red light and have the face shield down, my glasses tend to fog up. I either have to lift the face shield up or wait till I get moving again.

It's also removable. My fiance had to remove the pads to make it comfortable.

Same, and honestly this is the ONLY thing that makes me want to not wear glasses when riding (although if I did that, I wouldn't even be able to read the speedo lol).

Wouldn't it be much much easier to buy a second set of glasses that are smaller or more flexible framed units than try to find a manufacturer that will fit yoru specs?

I'm gonna ball park here that you wont find one.

im in the same boat. i bought a spray bottle used for hockey face shields but it doesnt work great. has anyone found something that works well?
not trying to hijack thread but figure once you find a helmet that can accommodate your glasses this would be the next problem.

I also have that problem and would welcome any suggestions on how to prevent fogging of your glasses.
