Ghomeshigate

It shows a precedent of behavior from the accusers, it works both ways.

11 out of hundreds of woman he probably slept with are accusing him so according to most people here there must be more.
2 out of 11 people accusing him seem to be full of it so in this case there should also be more.

Like I said, works both ways.

Funny thing is that now that a private law firm is offering free services to anyone that will come forward and testify against him, setting the stage for a class law suit against him, the CBC and everyone else they can get involved, bunch of woman trying to take advantage will come forward, what is the worse that can happen? a settlement and chichinnnnn
Where are the hundreds of women he slept with. No one is coming to his defense, so what you said is pretty dumb.it doesn't work both ways. Let's say a guy rapes 2 women, but through his life he sleeps with 50 women, even if all 50 come forward and say, we had sex with him and we liked it, that doesn't make the 2 that accused him any less credible. How many times do you hear about people that rape, murder etc, he/she were always friendly, never seemed like the kind of person to do that, but we're convicted with proof.

lawyers coming out working for free ? when the **** does that happen.

ive only seen lawyers work for free for defense.

see, the problem for the prosectution is that they have to prove there was no consent.

thats hard to do when the women self-admitted to going to see him on their own freewill ( knowing about his rep beforehand )

jg doesnt have to prove he's innocent.
Lawyers work pro bono all the time, and not just for defense.

Your response really makes your point that I am the dumb one.

You're proving that yourself. I didn't say you're dumb,I stated what you said was dumb.

You're really not helping yourself. Saying something stupid does not mean someone is stupid. Telling someone they said something stupid does not imply you're calling them stupid, even the smartest people say stupid things sometimes, but hey if you want to insist you are, who am I to stop you.

Im thinking the other side of defence, prosecution , would all be crown employees. Pray tell why they would work for free ? pretty sure they get regular cheques underwriiten by me, and you.

They work pro bono for civil. That's what their offer would be for. They would advise the women on any possible civil lawsuit, but I doubt it's going to get any one else to come forward. I think their offer it's just a publicity stunt.

Slim I would guess your right, I forgot that whole punitive lawsuit thing. Class action style suit may bring somebody out of the woodwork, JG is not a poor fellow and probably insured in some capacity.

Kinda funny that Rob and Femme havent responded to Paul's post where he Virtually JG'd them both
with that star article

He really did JG them. 2 or of 11 accusers went back more then once, those odds aren't a winning combination. What we don't know about the two is whether he some how convinced them that it was a mistake the first time, and he promised wouldn't happen again, if that's the case and he did it again, it's still assault, even sexual assault.

While I am uncertain that JG did any sexual assault I do feel that at the very least he is guilty of sexual harassment and assault. I think that many women may have been willing sexual partners but that does not mean that they were okay with being assaulted. Either way he sure seems like a creepy guy but that does not make him into the stereotypical "rapist".

I don't doubt some of the women were willing for the sex and not the assault, but I don't think all these women were willing sex participants. I think there well be a few sexual assault charges, some assault charges and some claims that will be dismissed completely.
