Battery discharges. The discharge rate while on the bike really depends on the bike. I've been told that the goldwing is a battery hog even when its off, while some barely draw any (Ninja 250?).
Does your bike have a lot of electronics? If so, it will discharge at a greater rate than not on the bike. Is the difference significant? Once again, depends on the bike.
