Getting back into riding...Need advice on $ 2007 gsxr 600?

went back to the dealer with $6k in hand. he took the offer. warranty for the full riding season starting april 1, lowering link and installation + discount on the next oil/filter change. $6k administration, licensing, and tax all in. i do believe i got a good deal. guess money does talk.

looking forward to riding safe with you all this season!

That's a great deal from a dealer.

thx! soon i will post pics :). now saving $ for an exhaust and some boots! (thinking a 2-bros slip on should be nice)

EEWWWWW.... Two Bros?

Akrapovic shorty, bro!!!!! lol

I know you're probably joking but not everyone can afford a $800 slip on. Op just get the can you want and use the money you saved for gear. Slip on is really just personal preference.

No, I wasn't kidding...
An Akrapovic slip-on for the 06/07 GSX-R could be had for ~$400.
The good thing about that generation GSX-R's is a any slip on will eliminate the cat which weighs around 20 LBs.
Akrapovic is just the sexiest that I have seen on that bike. No lie.
The two bros looks like a coffee can on a pipe.

Oh agreed akra is the best looking can for those bikes. I didn't know they were that cheap. I thought akra are usually more expensive then the rest. My Leo on that bike cost more than $400 iirc.

Op get the 2bros if you like it. IMO I don't like the look or sound but my opinion shouldn't matter to you.

congrats, good thing you didnt get suckered in at 7500. 6000 is a decent price.

I don't mind the look of either of the exhausts really, but I can't see myself spending 450+ on new. I Posted in the parts section to see what's out there. If you have any connections, please PM me :)

I've decided on getting a 2007 gsxr600 (always liked the bike, and my insurance will be at $89 a month with full coverage).

whoa, whoa, whoa... let's backtrack there a bit and let me ask you a question - which insurance company did you get that $89/month quote with?

trying to bring my 2006 gixxer over to Toronto (from Cali) and insure it in Canada instead of US (can't beat State Farm in Cali, though... full insurance at $75/month, able to ride the bike all year long...)

State Farm is cheap here too, if you have a mint driving record, also have my condo insurance with them ($16 a month for that)... $1070 for the year is full coverage for the bike (500 comprehensive and 1000$ for collision). My auto insurance is with 'The Personal' full coverage for a 2008 BMW 328i hard-top convertible am paying $122 a month (discount as my company's affiliated in some way). Unfortunately the personal doesn't insure these type of bikes otherwise I think they offer multi-vehicle discounts.

good luck in your move!

.....I've decided on the Akra shorty. Lots of good reviews.
