Geting an Ownership for Bike

Hi,
I want to get an ownership for an old 1978 motorcycle. The bike hasn't ran in years and the ownership has been long lost. Anyone know how to go about getting one? I know there has to be a lawyer involved but I don't know what kind of lawyer or the process. Any info would help.
Thanks.

If you were the registered owner and you have the VIN, just go to service ontario for a replacement ownership. I had to do this for an old bike, they have every vehicle on file in the system I have owned right back to my 1972 Chevy Nova.If you weren't the last owner then yes you will need to go the other route but no need for a lawyer. At most larger offices they will have a commissioner of oaths.
