To me 50km is a huge difference. 1/2 an hour at 100km/h. To each his own I suppose.

You're forgetting that you would be driving faster on the highway than on back roads. Not to mention having to slow down to drive through Stratford, Mitchell and several other little towns. Either way the time will likely be almost the same.

Yeah, I don't hold much stock in google maps. I get from KW to GBM in 1:20-1:30 every time with the route I posted. It's never taken me even close 1:20 (except when there's an accident or something) to get from 401@Mississauga Rd. to Kitchener (to make up the difference for 2:47).

I'm not forgetting the highway vs backroad difference. I skip Stratford and Mitchell to help the average speed.

What I'd your start point was Highway 8 and the 401?

I'd probably go to Homer Watson Blvd and then take New Dundee Rd west for a while. I've tried many routes from KW to South Huron in the past 19 years. I've taken the 401 once and gone through Stratford once. Still, to each his own.

Dammit! lol The bike is ready, I (me, myself and I) did an oil change, coolant flush (I haven't ridden it this year at all) and will polish it tomorrow, ready to go.

I heard it will be Long Track, most likely without the drag strip hairpin. This is what DOCC did last year.

Great day and fun track. Now I know what a smooth track is like wow it's like comparing 400 grit sandpaper to 60 grit ... tires take a beating at shanny.

What are decent lap times for the long layout???

For a trackday I'd say anything under 1:30 would be pretty decent.
