Simplest way would be:
401 west to 402.
402 west to 81.
81 north through Parkhill right to the track.
Tim's right, that's likely the simplest, but it's 50km longer than getting onto hwy 7/8 in Kitchener, avoid Stratford by going through Tavistock (there is some construction there now but the detour is simple and painless), then take rd 20 west, which turns into 83 through the top of Exeter. Go south when you get to Dashwood to avoid taking hwy 21 through Grand Bend.

The catch is to make sure you're through Kitchener before 7:00 to avoid traffic. If you want to be at the track in time then you will be anyway. It's about 1:30 from Kitchener to GBM.

coming from brampton, 401 -> 402 -> 81 is your best bet. From K/W staying further north is better. I drive this route frequently, not a huge difference either way, but going through small towns with a trailer is slow and a pain. point is if your already on the 401, stay on the 401
To me 50km is a huge difference. 1/2 an hour at 100km/h. To each his own I suppose.
