Gallery from the TO Bike Show in case you can't make it but want to see what's there!

Not enough dirt bike manufacturers there for me. The free program they handed out had a welcome letter from the GM of the show saying both Husaberg and Husqvarna will be there. Nope. I still had fun though checking all the new models out. Got my OFTR membership and sticker so bring on the trails!!
Bought one slice of Pizza Pizza and bailed on a pop after the price said $3.79. I'm still thirsty.
The stunting and trials show was really cool. Don't see that at the January show.

+1

KTM's booth was pathetic. Gp bikes had a better selection there. Was also hoping I'd get to see the new Huskys (rebadged Bergs). You'd think since they are supposed to be in the dealers by the end of march they would have coughed up a couple for the show. I guess not.

Got to check out the CCM GP450. The Rep tried to tell me I could race it at the Cord. He didn't like my reply but I'm very interested in the bike for DualSport use. At close to $13k new its quite expensive though.

Also got to chat with a few people I haven't seen since the riding season ended and it broke the winter blues for the day. So worth the 17 bucks for me I guess.

I jumped on the GP450 too. That's a tall bike. But you know what? It's not actually as expensive as one thinks. If one was to take another company's bike new and then start adding aftermarket stuff that the GP450 comes with, you get to the same price or higher. The GP450 really is oriented as an adventure bike so in my non-expert opinion, it is in competition with decked out BMWs and the Super Tenere etc.

I was able to get a ton of gear for substantially less than US prices. Worth the 17 bucks for me.

I noticed gp had some ok deals. Not a lot of people with gear though. I've heard the next show is better for selection and prices?

Great pics ronnie.

Everyone who didn't go to the show yesterday has to thank ronnie for this gallery; now there's no need to go. While I was glad to see and sit on the new 1290 Superduke, I can do that at Apex shortly. The show is not worth your $17 or your $14 for parking. The show is small and there was no "pop". This is the manufacturer show for the biggest city in the country? It is a "small fries" show.

The beer tent;

If you wanted a large selection of beer, a beer store would probably have been a better place to go. However if you wanted to see some new bikes, a stunt show and some guys jump cars on trials bike, the bike show was the place to be.

It wasn't the biggest show compared to the other ones but you had all the major manufacturers with majority of their bikes to check out.

That Fireblade was pretty swish. That custom Bolt looked the business too. Not really a SS, I know, more of an update to the European market Bulldog (based on the Virago/V-star motor).

Just in case you can't make it down to check out the Bike Show this weekend, or if you just want to see what's there... here's a 200-plus image gallery.

Peace.

Thanks for the link to the pics from the show. I was looking forward to making it down but have been sick for just over a week now and didn't want to go to the show. Looks like this would of been fun.

Anyone else notice a lack of booth babes?

The lack of booth babes is a GOOD thing! The manufacturers are trying to grow the market and women are a huge demographic. My partner doesn't want to go to any bike shows with me because she thinks it will be full of strippers and Sons of Anarchy types.

Speaking of myself I want to enjoy the machines. I don't want the distraction of someone posing in front of it. I love women but I honestly prefer a show that has no women in exploitative outfits. If they are working there and sharing information as their actual job that is ok but if they are parsley on a plate, no.

Sounds like you have an insecure wife.

I have to disagree with Rommie on this one. I really enjoyed the show. Got to checkout several brands without having to visit 10 different dealerships. I think it was well worth the money.

+1 (or low self esteem).

My gf went to the AutoShow with me. She knew there would be plenty of car models/candy there but didn't care.

I enjoyed not because it was a big or an awesome show but because I got to catch up with a lot of friends I haven't seen in along time and got to shoot the **** about bikes. I really loved the stunt show and the OPP Golden Helmets demo was pretty cool. It was kinda dead though which made it easy to hop on any bike you wanted to sit on and check out. Also, glad I made it because I missed the January show and it looks like I will miss the March one too.

Sex sells. Not that they are selling everything at the show but it never hurts to attract attention. The car show had models and eye candy as someone else said. There were sales women there who weren't to hard on the eyes and able to sell cars. Doubt your partner would be upset about that. But if she is that upset about seeing a good looking woman than I'm sorry to hear that. Guess you guys don't go to the beach much?

Thanks for posting pics. I had no intention of going but I would've liked to check out the BMW R NineT. Nice to see they had it there.

This show is more like an auto show. It is for the Manufacturers to showcase the New 2014 models. Some vendors to make it appealing. The January Show and smaller Spring Show at the International Centre are all out vender shows to sell products and gear. Not as much of a show for the manufacturers although they do attend.
