FZ6R luvver

Re: FZ6R ladder

Thanks for the tip! I'll be sure to refer back here when it's time...

Had one a few years ago. Worked great.
It does get buzzy around 105 kmh. If you swap the front sprocket with a +1 it really smooths things out at highway speed.
Bike is capable for sure, good for sport touring.
Suspension is very basic - can't do many adjustments to it.
Lots of aftermarket support available now.
Enjoyed it while I had it.

See, that's exactly why I chose the FZ6R, "more of a sport tourer"...

Ride around Newmarket/Aurora area all the time, I was thinking of getting a FZ6R- It's a solid looking bike and pretty low to the ground, as well, it's more of a sport tourer so it's an upright position.

Thanks! I'll keep you in mind! You are a bit closer...

I have the non R version but the control is pretty much the same :p feel free to check it out as well if you like :D

Take a serious look at the FZ6.

It's a sport tourer, lighter, more power and has been around longer so there are lots more aftermarket parts for it, but the FZ6R has caught up in that regard I would think.

It's not bad for a first bike, but I wouldn't really go with anything too much faster.

It bothers me a bit that Yamaha called this new thing the FZ6R since there are very few similarities other than the engine block is the same.

Take a look at TD for insurance... They beat State Farm which wasn't bad. I'm paying like $780/yr now :)

You should book some time with trail tours and learn how to ride on a dirt bike first. You'll be glad you did!

FZ6R is a great bike cant go wrong with it.

Could you give me details on how much you paid for the bike, how many kms and what year it is?

Sorry, I think you're responding to the wrong thread
