yeah man - look what 30 min+elbow grease+autosol+1500 grit sandpaper can do for your header:

Yep, I do mine a couple times a season to keep them shiny! Hate seeing nasty head pipes when they really add to the way these bikes look.

I think the front tire is installed backwards no?
I'm pretty sure my PR3s are on the same way.

I am lazy - I do them once, in the beginning of the season

My '06 has been good to me with 90k km now. Did the steering bearings at around 18k km, that's about the only issue I've had with it.

As others have said, the '07+ are better. If the price is right on the '05, there's nothing wrong with it

Can I pay you to do mine? They're crusty as hell

Oh and a R6 front end swap greatly improves the front suspension and pre'07 brakes, I think mine cost me around $300 for parts

Is that the one that was stored at Heritage? Whenever is was there, I was like "daayyyyummm".

Yes, that is this bikes second home. She is visiting right now, while Dan puts on 08 R6R forks, a Ohlins rear shock, R6 brakes, and a few other goodies.

They are PR3 's and they are on correctly.

Nice, shop rate is about $80 a hour; you said it takes you 30 mins. I'm thinking about $45 plus your choice of a six pack and you can help me out by doing mine.

I just flushed my forks and put 15W in - figured I'll try 15 bucks fix before forking out for springs. Night and day - more then enough for my riding style, diving is gone, bike is much more planted

I also used 15w, but also changed the springs to correspond my 200lb weight. Stock springs are progressive btw. Anyway---this simple suspension mod made the bike feel like a completely different bike---no longer I was diving under hard braking, and also it was super stable when leaned in the corners, possibly the best mod I did! :) The -1 tooth on the front also wasn't that bad, I remember :)

I saw that bike at daniels as well when I was getting my fz6's tire changed, sucks about the autostart mishap.

how much is he charging you for the front end swap? it's on my list of considerations. some people say it takes 10 minutes but I'm a tad skeptical on that one.

I am glad you are considering my offer - well, first things first - I am not a shop and my rate is much higher. Let me know if still interested. Hint at rate - multiply 80 by 4. And minimum charge is 1 hr.

Yep, was seriously considering it but happy with just oil for now. And -1 - still thinking, LVs+K&N+PCIII really smoothed the bike out so still need to decide if I need it or not

It sucked so bad, especially watching my bike ghost ride itself into a wall and my brand new Kona bicycle.

How about I just give you my back door virginity and we call it even.

I had Leos on mine too, congrats on choosing the best :D

-1 in the front really wakes up the FZ6, I highly recommend! Of course, Speedohealer would be a must even more.

That's one of the things I am hesitant about - I missed a good deal on speedohealer (was like brand new for under $50). When I sum up all cost - it makes me want to wait till winter to do this mod. I just spent ~500 on oem side fairings so I think I am done with mods for this year.
And LVs are the best for FZ6 - totally! I got carbon fiber ones - super light, virtually no heat, sound is awesome (buffles out of course).

Yeah, I had the buffles out for a while, then I got an anonymous hate letter from an unknown neighbor, and wife made me put them back in... oh well

I am lucky to have neighboor one house over who rides big *** jap cruiser with straight pipes and he likes to rev it. So my sounds like music in comparison :D If anyone will get hate letter - that would be him!
