I did not buy through costco, the money has to come from somewhere and they sub out the work. Not sure where the price ultimately ends up compared to directly talking to an installer.
Lennox is fine. Parts are more expensive than brands like goodman but availability is good (for people with a license).
Much of the goodness of the products comes down to the installer. Are they running a new lineset and replacing your evaporator coil or just throwing new boxes in and calling it a day? How is your ductwork? What is the proper size equipment for your house? Get those questions wrong and the best equipment in the world will suck.
