Full Body MRI Scans

Many people will go to the US / Europe / Turkey to get medical tests as the costs and time are much faster then here. I've had MRIs regularly after my cancer issue and subsequent removal to confirm no further issues.

Also had an X-Ray, CT Scan, and MRI 2 years ago looking at my gall bladder as apparently I almost died (oops) due to my lack of care for my chest pains, vomiting, and horrifying pain.

Listen to your body folks, but preventative...you'll have to look elsewhere, or get a crooked Dr that will requisition a full body scan without a valid reason.

Better still follow the advice I got from a guy in Forest Hill. When Covid broke out he moved to the Cayman Islands where his hundreds of millions of dollars bought him the finest health care one could imagine.

There is the real problem , there are Dr and clinics in the GTA where celebrity and millionaire money gets you whatever you want and need , then there is the rest of us .
My friend from my club is a Cardiologist, when Taylor Swift was in town he hired out as the heart Dr at the Rogers center , an anesthetist , surgeon and nose throat specialist, two nurses were on that team , all shows , and they were paid thousands to be there , just in case . Money makes a difference in your lifestyle.

Not always safe harbour.
Former competitor and almost partner decamped to the Caymans leaving some debts.
Totally wiped out by a hurricane....there was some justice in that.
He came back to Toronto asking for some favours, we said sure ....pay what you owed.
There were no tears shed when he said "he lost everything"

This is what I am reading. If you want to pay, it's available. If you get a requisition, you can get one 6 months from now at 4 am. If you have wealth or celebrity, no worries. You can go out of country and pay and get one but you can also do that here, just pay more.

But Doug wanted to give how many billions of tax dollars away? A new MRI machine runs up to $3 million. How about we buy a bunch of those and let people use the tax dollars we pay for preventative measures?

I have been there and pushed my GP for the requisition. I waited a couple of months and my appt was at 11pm on a Sunday.

Someone at work told me that it's not a lack of machines but of technicians to operate them and read the results ... not sure if that's true or not but same point, train/hire more Techs.

But I agree on the $250 the PC's are giving away ... my boss, who hardly needs it, even said the same thing - use it elsewhere where it's needed.

Heck, I'm sure most of us here don't need it either ... cut the threshold at a lower income so those that really could use it get it and the rest of it is used elsewhere, hopefully efficiently.

I've heard that also, but I think it's a combination of both. Bring in more machines, and train more techs and you can deal with it better.

If I had the funds available I would buy a machine, open a room / office, and go for it.

Any ballers wanna fund the MimicoPolak Imaging Ltd company? Any early investors will get access whenever needed. No questions / requisitions required.
