I never used these pants, got them by mail order and they don't fit me well. Note the size - these are for a really big guy. The outer pant is waterproof high-density textile, with lots of pockets and comfort features. Can be used on its' own or over your jeans, long johns, etc. It has armour in the knee (hard), shin, hip and lumbar. Has a zipper to attach to jacket. The liner piece zips in and adds warmth for your spring and fall rides. I think these were close to $200 retail when they were current.
