When they measured at the track, there was a specific procedure - so many feet from the rear, off to the side by so much, certain height, and so on. Even I am not cynical enough to believe that they would be ticketing for a voluntary check. It's probably more for their benefit to get used to the equipment.

Or build data for a PR campaign. Post some pics of bikes that pass and ones that fail (suitably doodled to avoid identification). You need to work reasonably hard to fail (GP or straight pipes normally). Conventional full-size slipons should pass in most circumstances.

Apparently they are doing the clinics three or four times this summer. No tickets to be handed out at the clinics. Working with TPS, they are going to be doing roadside checks with by-law testing for noise and TPS issuing tickets for vehicle issues so you could get a by-law ticket for too loud and the police ticket for modified muffler in the same stop. Fun.
