That's 350 km of riding for me. 3 minutes to make the claim

If you can prove you bought a PlayStation 3 or a Blu-Ray player between 2004-2010, you might be able to claim $70 instead of the standard undocumented claim

Me too, and still play it on occasion!

But I've never even gotten a nickel from previous class-actions like this that I sent a claim in for.
I got money from the Microsoft ($26) and CRT ($20) class action settlements

Not sure if it scales but worth a try - I'm contemplating claiming on all the Macs with DVD players I bought and sold during that period...in the hundreds for sure.
It looks like you may be eligible for a payday (assuming you still have the appropriate paperwork).

I would fall into this category tho I may have purchased a few defendant branded drives. I do have the invoices tho would take some digging. Most would have been in Apple machines.

I completely forgot what your username originally referred to and was scratching my head wondering what the heck you were doing with all these drives

We must have bought 3 or 4 as they always met their demise with the Blue screen of death.

A class action against Sony would have been appropriate.

I misremembered Sony having extended the warranty on the 1st gen PS3s, like Microsoft did with the 360. All they had was a factory 1 year warranty extension that you had you pay for. I also had a 1st gen PS3, but I bought it second hand so I never had any recourse. If only it was good... a single console that could run PS1, PS2, and PS3 games would have been beautiful

Honestly was a little hesitant about buying a first gen PS5, but haven't heard of any serious problems yet (other than when installing a game from disc, the drive is so loud I can hear it through two floors)

OK, apparently this wasn't technically true before, I just got the cheque today. Edit: from Microsoft

I didnt have mine when you got it but it arrived in the last few days. Dated july 22/22 and will become stale dated and invalid on jan 18/23. Seems really dodgy both with the short time to stale date and 20% of the time used in the mail.

I got a cheque from MS last week for $247 or $297

 So that meme you see floating around FB if you click the link, MS will send you money, was true after all!
I'm pretty sure I did not follow or click on a meme for this

I read a news article and filled out the form .

Memory of this is a little vague as it was long time ago

These things take for ever.

I did it and didn't expect anything out of it. Hoping for a surprise sometime in the future and that's how it worked out.
