Ah class action lawsuits...

Your cheque for $0.23 is in the mail!

actually, they told me my claim worked out to 13 bucks. For 2 minutes of my time and a few easy clicks, I'll take it!

but I'm sure the craftier ones on this board can find a way to swindle up to the $250 off them...

we probably bought at least 50-60 PC's and laptops in that time frame, this could get interesting

Happy to say I don't qualify.

The lawnmowers that I bought for myself and my MIL got me $130 from that class action suit.
$20 or $25 gc from the Loblaws one

This one gave me $13, but I just might still have the receipt for a PC that I bought in '97, which will get me more.

Waiting to find out how much from the prepaid Visa one.

Yeah

You should have spent a couple more minutes. Mine was almost 30$.
Ahhh yes the sweet smell of screwing over MS (even if it's in the tiniest way)

No reciepts required. You get to be just as honest as Billy Gates

Here's the Prepaid Visa class action suit:

~$8 per piece of software. Entering 31 different packages will take quite a while. I'm not sure why they made it intentionally annoying to claim multiple copies of the same software. Do the lawyers get to keep more of the unclaimed pie? Will gov't see this as taxable income? Presumably it is just getting back some after-tax money you once spent.

I can remember what I bought but quantities of some are fuzzy (especially XP, I bought a lot but some licenses got recycled from old to new computers so exactly how many distinct licenses I had is grey), the year that each piece of software was purchased is far fuzzier. I have no idea. I bought whatever was current when I needed it.

There are some interesting inclusions. Who bought DOS 1.0 after 1998? Probably almost nobody bought any version of DOS but I have no idea how you would buy an obsolete version. Presumably if you bought something it would be 6.22. Also windows below 3.1 can't have sold any copies.

I got $760, I had receipts. I bought 40 computers with Windows and Office over a 10 year period for my kids and my small business.

I am certain with that much cash spent on 40 systems, MS still came out way ahead despite your hefty rebate...

Strange thing is I bought most of the office packages on my wife’s company plan for $13 each. The pcs came with Windows.

When / if the cheque arrives, It will be time for a new MacBook.

Wouldn't that make them purchased through Microsoft’s volume licensing program (including Open, Select and Enterprise Agreement programs) and therefore ineligible?

Maybe. I attached receipts so I guess the will figure that out.
