Forks crack down

Quick overnight would be fun to go from watertown east on 3 to lake placid. Stay then come back on 28 through old forge and back up to niagara. Greta roads and honestly not all that far away.

i hate crossing the border so i never renewed my passport...but im going to get it done over this winter so i can do some riding in the states next summer.

i really just want to see what canada has, havent done much travelling in my life and im finally at a point in my life where i can afford to book vacation time off and just go ride with no strings attached. end up wherever the hell i feel like being that day.

and xgf did make me stop by some gift shop while im here on PEI tho..

If you're reluctant about it, just replace your driver's license for an Enhanced Driver's License, which can be used to cross the border by Land and Sea. Less hassle and cheaper.

One word. Nexus. Look it up. Thank me later. Best 50 bucks you'll ever spend. Makes the border much quicker and easier.

Not sure if this has anything to do with the crackdown, but, has anyone else heard the Mazda commercial on the radio? I've heard it on Boom 97.3. They ask the girl what her favourite road to drive is and she responds "Forks of the Credit road near Belfountain".
Will post link if I can.
You weren't kidding. Just heard this on the radio. Total facepalm.

hey hey hey, are you trying to bully us into a NY state ride?

Did the Forks in June.
There was an OPP who stopped me and asked if I had been drinking.
It was 11 AM.
I looked him right in the eye and told him "Not on this road".
He smiled and let me through.

Back in early July I trekked out that way from KW to see what all the hoopla is about. Even made a video for me to watch during the long, dark winter months:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlinH9z2Ix8

(Forks begin at ~4-min in...) This was a Friday and thankfully clear of traffic and police. It's a super nice road but I don't know if I would trek 70kms out to ride a couple of kms of semi-twisty roads at 50kph again any time soon. I guess it's better than the arrow-straight stuff we have out this way...

Its not a destination man there is cool places around it and past it. Badlands for example.

Taking the kids to check out Badlands next week. I think they will enjoy it.

Badlands is shut down for a few years to allow the area to rehabilitate

Really? Since when? I saw people there last month. The kids are gonna be ******!

Blackfin:
Pity you didn't take full advantage.
You could have done the Badlands run or taken Hwy. 10 to north of Orangeville and done Hockley Valley.
I am assuming that while the Badlands Conservation Area is closed, the road is still open.

There's still lots of summer left. I'll give it another try sometime. :)
