For those of you who filter

Just be careful is all I can say. I posted this elsewhere but some @$$wipe apparently didn't like me doing it either and pulled his car out to block/scare me. Some people are just born ******.
lol... This happens to me from time to time but they do it way before I get there and I just go on the opposite side.
Frustrates them even more.

... Traffic in this city has reached full retard. You never go full retard.

Hahaha awesome quote!

But in all seriousness, avoid flipping 2 year old adults with 2-ton toys in their hands.

Going Mano-a-Mano with a car, you will always lose.

At least the ones with road rage issues are acknowledging your presence instead of looking down at their phone. Road rage isn't that bad. Those that act on it though....

I often do it, throughout the whole summer I've only had 3 cagers get pissy about it, usually they just lay on the horn.

One guy tried to block me in, as he saw me coming he suddenly decided he wanted to merge into the left lane even though no other cars were moving and a car was directly adjacent to his. He didn't realize that he left enough room on the right so I just had to go around him, I've never seen someone so red in the face before lmao it made me smile, I stopped turned around gave him the finger and kept on going. He probably layed on his horn for a good 5 minutes.

If someone is going to go out of their way to act like a ******, then they should be treated like ****.

I filter all the time, never have an issue with it, you just need to be prepared to dodge sudden car movements...

I've had the odd person honk at me, but it's extremely rare.

They're mad 'cause they don't see it as you relieving congestion - they see it as you being an ******* who can't wait in line.

Filter just before your light turns green (so when the lights for cars going horizontally turn yellow & red). That way, you're out of there before any of them can get mad at you. Also, be very careful when doing this as a lot of cars run late reds downtown.

I always wave my hand up as a thank you/sorry and ever since I've done that, they've been fine if they caught up at the next light.

Giving the guy the finger's overkill. Anyone who didn't mind you filtering before might think negatively of people who filter in the future. My middle finger salute is knowing that I'm getting home earlier while this guy's raging in his car like a little ***** - that's good enough for me.

I filter all the time. In my truck.

Most of the time when I come up to a light and there's a bike already stopped in blocking position, they leave so much room on the side and all that open sidewalk. Lots of room to get by. In our ever shrinking world, wasting space is a sin. Besides, im important. Ask my mom she'll tell you.

I HATE idiotic drivers. Those that don't understand how a merge lane works, people that don't signal or use the proper lane etc. and people know when I'm ******. However, never ever would I be mad at someone filtering, unless it's at warp speed and then it's just dangerous.

Ive filtered a few times. Had a minivan try to block me but I just went over the low curb and waved as I went along my way. I do it fairly slow, and only if I'm going to turn right. It should be made legal, but I really don't trust people.

Cause we know the only reason you do it is to relieve traffic congestion for everyone else lol.

Best to not do it; if you choose to do it just ignore these tards . . . .

if you go slow nobody seems to mind. I've even stupidly filtered past cop cars.

But watch out for pedestrians, and bicycles crossing the street between cars.

Yeah, I've filtered past cop cars before as well with nothing to come of it, I have however been stopped by a cyclist cop once Lmao, he just said that he rides and to be careful etc... etc.. didn't even ask for my license.

I see nothing wrong with what he did. He stood up for what is right, maybe not legal, but right. Also, she MAY have learned something that day which could result in another biker filtering past her not meet her bumper.

Brilliant spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

He can do it if he wants. Posting a thread here whining about it is the equivalent of calling the cops to complain about someone stealing your weed.

This isnt a TPS or OPP forum, its a motorcycle enthusiast forum.. me posting in here is equivalent of complaining on grasscity forums that someone stole my weed.

Plus, no one steals my weed. It stays in my mason jar :)

why do motorcyclist ride on the far left side of the 401 where cops and ambulances pass by during an emergency. i see this enough that i have to ask, is it legal? if not, boy, you guys sure are an embarassment to us all at times.

For those of you who filter through traffic (not lane-splitting, I'm referring to moving to the front in between cars during traffic/red lights), how often do you get crap from cagers? I've had it once before and again today..I really don't get it - I'm reducing congestion, which is a win-win situation for everyone involved. I've even had some cops tell me that they'll let it slide if you do it cautiously. Today there was a back up on Dufferin from Steeles to Sheppard, as I made my way through, dude in a civic goes absolutely berserk. Honking, yelling, throwing his arms up in the air.
I find the bottled up anger from gridlock hilarious. How do you guys normally deal with it? I reached into my pocket, pulled out the finger, smiled, waved goodbye, and went on my way. Looking for more creative ideas to convey my message of "Go **** yourself" more clearly.

Also, please no lectures on how it's illegal etc, it's been done in countless places, and I will continue to do it regardless of people's bitching. Traffic in this city has reached full retard. You never go full retard.

If you're going to poke the bear, then you had best make sure that he's in a cage first. Take a road raging driver. Add someone doing something illegal to get past him. Toss in the middle finger as seasoning and you now have someone who has blown a gasket. You may be filtering, but you'll likely have to stop at a light somewhere along the line. THAT is where you need to worry about the guy you just flipped off.

I'm a skinny guy.The timmies lineup for the morning cup of mud is always full of much bigger folks.I should make it less congested by going to the front.Kay?

Thank you for doing your part to relieve timmys line congestion. I know you do this only thinking of others, and in no way or form for your own personal reward.

The next time i see a bike i'll filter thru with my cage. Get in front of him. It'll save us the congestion
