If its not safe for the track, (and while I respect the speed limits) how can it be safe on the street ?
I've got the system 6. Its awesome. Quiet, lightweight, love the inner tinted visor, never had it fog. Super happy with it and the sizing is the best I've had. Only downside with flip ups is if you want a comm unit. Most clip on the bottom right were the helmet flips. Makes it pretty much impossible unless you do some frankenwiring.
Nope.
Took it on a long ride yesterday and even tho heavy am very pleased. Was easy to flip up with gloved fingers both the full front and the shield. 10 hours of riding and comfortable - good indicator for a new helmet. The Tour-Tech fl ip-up helmet combines the advantages of an open-face lid with the protection of a full-face design.
Constructed with a polycarbonate shell, it has a single-action dual-locking chinbar, seven air vents, a removable and washable
Coolmax interior lining, an anti-scratch clear visor that requires no tools for removal, and space in the cheekpad for an intercom/phone headset.
Easy to get on and off like an open face and I can chat with people around town. Might bring it home - not sure yet.
Does anyone know a dealer in the GTA who carries the evoline series 2 or 3? I know most dealers can order them but I need to try one on and play around with the moving parts. I tried this helmet on at the Dec. show at the Yamaha booth, but it was a rushed experience...
Shark Evoline. As far as I know it's the only flip up with all metal chinabr locking system, and it's the only flip up that passes Snell and DOT with the chinbar in the up position as well.
