I'm aware of what I'm SUPPOSED to do. haha... I wasn't expecting it to be 2 feet deep in the middle. I almost made it....
What do you do if you have a great big log across your trail?

how does he do it?
... oh, never mind, he's a trials rider.

Do you realise that there are a lot of people who just want to have a good time riding trails? Not everyone wants to start on a trials bike, become a pro, then move onto an enduro bike. Some of us like to learn the skills to try to improve, but the vast majority are just fine having fun hacking their way around.

Yeah. I think when I'm too old to ride a dirt bike I'll grab a trials bike and come out to the lemon party.

Maybe... doubt it. People tend to repeat a lot of wrong information they hear from others that are trying to sound like they know what they are talking about....

Which makes me wonder, what is the version of tim horton's parking lot talk on the dirt bike word?

Edit: I read his post again, maybe you are right, maybe it was a sarcastic post.

I seriously thought there was more work with a 2T (maintenance period shorter) ? no? Remember, I'm a noob at all this,... Not trying to start a 2T vs 4T war :)

2 stokes are easier and cheaper to maintain than 4 strokes. They are also more reliable and less prone to overheating. (speaking of competition based engines of course)

Ah.., I'll have to learn more on this for sure! :confused4: thanks

Only thing that can mess this up seriously is the street based engines wr250r klx etc they need far less maintenance than the high performance dirt based designs.

Not that it really matters, but I started on an enduro bike, then went to MX and street bikes, then I started riding Trials bikes much later in life. If any of you guys want to show me up, just come on out and ride against me in an ATA event next season :headbang:

... or continue hacking your way around if that really does it for you, but I can tell you right now that in one year of riding competition you will improve your riding capabilities more then 10 years of hacking around on your own.

Either do comments like that

sweet bike!
 what happened it doesn't look like you even rode it!

Yeah I keep everything I ride in mint shape. I'm picky like that :)
This was my first bike after many years away and also my first 4T. I really love this bike but in the gnarly singletrack it's too much for me so I'm trying a 2T this season for comparisons sake. I put the YZ up instead of having it sit but it's still my choice for wider trails or track so I may keep it because it's so much fun to ride and it's nice having that option.

I don't want to show anyone up. That's just mean.
I can tolerate the embarrassment if you can. Challenge stands for any of you. :D points speak louder then banter.

Yeah, yeah, we get it. Nobody can ride unless they ride trials.

To be honest. I think trials is frigging boring. (My opinion) A bunch of guys standing around taking turns on a rock/hill/course, etc. Ummm, no.

Same reason I never bothered with mx. A whole day spent at the track just to race a couple 20min motos. No thanks.

I'll stick with enduro and xc. And you're welcome to come by a race and see how your trials bike stacks up if you like.

I used to say stuff like that too  when I was a teenager
... you wouldn't be able to follow me so it really doesn't matter.
