Financing?

They gave me a better price than any other dealer I talked to. Although there was a $300 financing fee they didn't tell me about until the day of pickup. That was a piss off but I had no way home at that point.

I had this happen at a dealership before... The financing fee's just had a dash through it. When I went to pick up the bike they wanted to "finalize" and get one last signature.

HA HA HA. Unfortunately for them I read everything (being in the telecommunications sector... you really need to) Thanks dealership for trying to tack on admin fees. Needless to say it didn't go over well.

Basically they wanted to "reprint/finalize" the bill of sale at pickup. I'm sure many people are so excited to get their vehicle/motorcycle they totally get taken advantage of.

some very wise advise given.

just my thoughts... OP, your time is the most valuable--and irreplaceable--commodity you have.

just think about it this way: you'll have to pay more to get it financed. paying more, means that you have to work more hours. which means that you will have less free time to do things you want to do. do the calculations. do you really want to be a slave to your work just for a bike?

yes, i know. you say: but it a MOTORCYCLE! Motorcyce is so coool and make me have sex with all the ladies (or gay men). But, that not true. motorcycle will not make your life better. it will make it the same.

just my advise. have a sweet dreams!

Financing is always more than cash...even with 0%. Last car I did 0% with ended up the same price though. The sales woman quoted the cash price when I was going to finance. When I went in to sign off, they popped on the $1k financing fee. I walked out. The dealership owner or manager called back and dropped the $1k fee if I still took the car. I'm guessing the saleswoman didn't get any commission.

This is true but 0% from the dealer is still going to be a better deal for financing than any other place is going to give you. I originally posted that in response to whoever said you should finance through a bank instead of the dealership.
