I saw a thread a long time ago with a map and various street parking in the financial core in toronto.

Could you send me a link?

I normally park on temperance street, but need a place close by to 79 wellington west.

Wellington and where?

I still think Temperance is the best. Front is ok, but its full a lot if you get there a bit late.

Front St. has had no street parking for over a year with the subway / Union Stn reno. East / west is reduced to one lane each way between York and Yonge. A real PITA. There is really limited parking east of Yonge. Also extremely dusty with the construction.

Still a small area on the south side of front to park, just west of yonge.

Jayv's spot is what I am thinking of.

But I also remember throwing my bike in the areas that are covered by cones with a bunch of other bikes, whenever Temperance st was filming some TV show or other.

beware of parking on the sidewalk - some bikes do it and get away with it, but you risk a $50 ticket. It doesn't matter if you park on the cobblestone part of the sidewalk - what matters is if your bike is 250cc or less; then you are legal. anything over that and you get ticketed.

I ride downtown every day. Temperence street is great, but they are always closing it for movies. Try Scott and Colborne streets if you are in the financial district, there always seems to be lots of room there.

79 Wellington St. West - that's the "Torys" building right? Black TD Tower on the South side of Wellington? I used to work there and still work very close.

Not sure how "legal" of a spot this is, but I see bikes parked there all the time (and the same bikes over and over which would lead me to believe they aren't getting ticketed or towed). Here is the exact spot (hit the zoom OUT button a couple times to get perspective - I zoomed right into the bikes):

It's basically the first alley that leads South from Wellington immediately West of 79 Wellington St. There is an underground garage, but bikes park in that alleyway just in front of the driveway leading down into underground parking.

First time I have seen anyone refer to that buildling like that. haha

Only reason I call it that, is because there's a big Torys LLP sign (the lawfirm, not the government party) out front - I guess they are the only tenants that were willing to pay for advertising ;)

Yes i know, they would get a kick out of that. =D I thought it was funny,
There are quite a few sister firms that wished that their building would be referred to like that. heh.

Source for "250 cc or less"? I don't think it is correct.
