I've read mixed reviews on the installation of the Projekt D kit. Most were good, so I purchased one for my bike; it was not an simple install. It required some bending and filing to bring the edges in line with the rear fairings, and to fit it to the rear of the frame. Removing the rubber grommets from the stock end, for the lighting, was a pain. Finished up, however, it looks clean and simple. I especially like keeping the stock lighting and positions. And, for < $100, I wasn't terribly bothered by the work involved.
Again, other people have had better results; your mileage may vary.
How was the installation for the Projekt D fender elim? Was it straight forward is in it was plug and play or did you have to get a little creative with your installation like most mods turn out?
Personally I don't know why anyone would buy an FE for a Ninja 250. You can make one in about 20min if your have a Dremel or some form of decent cutting tool. Cost? well that depends on if you want to be 100% legal. I added LED white light bolts which were $10 but the plate is easily illuminated and visible from the rear by the taillight but other then the lighted bolts all the parts and hardware are from the original.
