Looking at a 2019 Toyota RAV4 XLE with 30,000km.2.5l 4cyl. Automatic.
It's a good car to install a Braun Turney Seat in for my wife.

I know some people with Ravs. They are older than the one you are looking at. They haven't regretted their purchase and normally keep them for a long time.

I got a 2018 Toyota Highlander with similar kms last year. Hardly driven our Honda CRV since. It’s really nice. I imagine the RAV4 will be similar. Also if you want to fit a remote starter to it it’s super cheap for aftermarket. The “lock-lock-lock” ones take 30 mins to fit and cost about $150.

Good luck with everything!

Friends had an older RAV4 with the V6 for 10+ years. No issues and a great car. But burned fuel fairly high.

They just bought a new hybrid Highlander. Also a great car.

Toyota is good. Older tech compared to the competition, but they've proven their reliable and long lasting.

Used ones are very hard to come by with low milage. The waiting list for new is huge.
I know. I haven't checked on Rav's lately but if you put a deposit down now you should be able to get one by say summer. Might be worth calling around that's all.

Don't care what it costs. She already missed a very important medical appointment that took 8 months to book because she couldn't get into the civic. Sigh.

Yup!
And iirc they still use multi-port injection!

Last November when I went to the dealership with my brother, the waiting time was a minimum of 6 months once the order was placed.
Wonder what its like now : /

can you call a wheelchair taxi to get to the appointments?
I wanted to get a patient transport to take her to the last one in London. But she wouldn't go for it. There is a mental issue too.

My Dad hated using the mobility taxi but did it for his last few years was so much easier for my Mom to get him to Toronto in the Mobility van than using the car.

if you are going non hybrid .... Mazda CX5
I bought a CX5 for my parents in 2019 for exactly that reason - it was the best fit for my mobility-challenged dad. Dad has trouble getting in/out, the CX5 doors open wide and he can shuffle into position, turn and drop his butt into/onto the passenger seat. There are decent grab handles too. Getting out is easy too, lots of room to swing his legs and the ground is close. I got the leather seats which makes a world of difference if you need to help someone shuffle and jiggle into position.

He stands 5'11 and still walks unassisted (slow shuffle). This might not be the case at House of @Wingboy, but it may be worth checking the CX5 out, may not need the special seat.

See the link in my post above. The Mazda won't work with the Turney Seat. Great car tho.

While used is very expensive nowadays...new is a LONG time to get something, unless it's on the lot.

My buddy bought a 2021 Highlander...he got a 2022 Highlander 9 months later.

If push button start they are stolen quite easily and regularly, mostly from driveways. The RAV4 is not in the current top 10 but won't be far behind.

As you will also have extra money invested in it (for access) and have a need that negates just waiting to find another one if stolen, I strongly suggest it gets parked in the garage at home.

Toyota dealership gave my buddy a 5k credit / rebate for the next Highlander if this one gets stolen. 4 people have already used that rebate at that particular dealership.
