What is your favourite road to go for a ride on in and around the GTA?

Lakeshore Rd - from Bondhead (Newcastle) to Port Hope.

Close to GTA - Sideroad #15 from Guelph Line to Trafalgar Road.

Davis drive east to lakeridge and then South on lakeridge to Whitby, especially during fall season when leaves are changing color ... Surreal!

Not really the GTA, but Perth Rd. from Kingston to Westport to Perth is a great ride.
In another few years, it probably will be part of the GTA.

Scenic Drive by Paris is definitely great.
As is Hockley Road.

I live an hour from a bunch of 5xx roads.....they are all good.

The Forks?

The forks are beautiful and have a tight turn along the river that's a lot of fun. Been quite a busy area the last few years but it's understandable

I don't understand the hype over The Forks. A buddy took me there last year, after going through all I could think was "that's it?" Low speed limit, short distance, too much traffic. I much more prefer River Road, Ridge Road, or any other road in the Barrie area and north.

I agree with you there. The forks is a scenic ride but if you want to get the most out the ride and enjoy the turns, I also suggest River Road.

I live an hour from a bunch of 5xx roads.....they are all good.

Haven't been able to get to 518 but looks like a great ride. Was able to take a nice ride along the 118 through Haliburton and into Kawartha.

A run across the top of the escarpment in Hamilton is about as good as it gets in the stretched GTA.
