Favourite Place you Visited in 2024

Thought this might be of interest to the group as we ride out the off season, sharing places we went this past season. So other riders can go explore or find places they never knew about.

No real rules, but it must be a location you went to on your motorcycle, and in 2024.
Since this group is nation wide it can be anywhere in Canada or other countries if you went elsewhere, or you live outside of CA.

Here is what I have, actually 2 places:

I've been to Campbellford a bunch of times, I've looked around, saw the Toonie and other things but never noticed this bakery. It was awesome!

Not surprising this one came from @shanekingsley
I've rode around Minden and Haliburton lots of times, and I've been curious about where this road went, on suggestion from Shane I took it, and it was fantastic. It also dumps you into downtown Minden which is much more then what you see off of HWY 35

Spent a month tooling around Australia.

Highlight was a track day at Phillip Island.

Total bucket list item ticked off.

Thanks for the tip - I tried to ride there today, but it was closed. Hopefully next warm day I can check it out.

For me this year it was checking 2 bucket list rides off my plate.

First was finally completing the Summer Solstice ride I've been trying to finish for the last few years. That meant completing an Iron Butt distance ride of mostly twisty backroads on Canada Day. It was super intense and never again!

Second was riding my bike to Gaspe over a week for one of the most beautiful fall colours trips I've ever done.

I also finally rode the Cali coast between San Diego and San Fran on a rented bike if that counts. Wanted to do that one for 20 years.

2024 was the least amount of mileage I've done in any year since I started riding, but it was the most enjoyable year on a bike yet.

Can't wait for 2025!

My many times delayed Colorado and West trip was my highlight on the bike in 2024

Pikes Peak, Million Dollar, Grand Teton Yellowstone, Beartooth Pass, and many more highlights.

Nothing as exotic as some of the ballers above me here, but I super enjoyed my week in West Virginia in the early fall with 2 riding buddies.

It had never been on my riding destination list until literally weeks before we executed on it (although apparently my one friend had been given a heads up a few months previous that put it on his radar and made it a destination) , but holy heck was it beautiful.

We’re already planning a return trip for this summer to explore another area of the state.

No big bike excursions this past season for me.
One 2-day trip to PA in May and that was sort of it. I did a few full day rides around Ontario that I actually really enjoyed.

I missed out on a trip to Mt. Washington with a few buddies due to a scheduling issue.

It's not the miles per year that matter, it's the smiles per miles!
Couldn't agree more!

Favourite trips?

West Virginia is flat out incredible. Not a straight road to be found and can spend weeks riding there.

B and I spent a weekend in the Finger Lakes. Stopped at the Tryals Shop in Locke NY to buy new gear. Buttermilk Falls, Watkins Glen etc etc. Letchworth State Park sucks.

Great ride! We'll do a whole bunch more next season!

Ya they're a bit shy. Their bikes are always in their pictures, just not them.

I also rode with those guys last summer, along with a bunch of other GTAMers. Here's one with all their bikes together...

Mr Burns bike is on the far right, and mimico_polo's bike is in the middle. I think that's Shane's bike on the left and MM's bike is the one one next to it. Is that yours next to that one...?

GTAM group rides are the best!
