Fault in this scenario?

There's a patch of paint scraped off the corner of my bumper. Just cosmetic damage.

His car, on the other hand, scraped up some of his back door and quarter panel. Also a bit deformed around the seam of the door.

Make sur you go file the police report with in the 48 hours. If you dont and he does then your screwed

If his backdoor is scratched and your back bumper then it is obvious he was moving.

Cut and dry, Car B is at fault. Car B is entering stream of traffic so Car B must give right of way to Car A.

Yes, police report was filed the next day. The other driver was actually the one who insisted on it. Also have photos of collision.

Thanks for all the responses; feeling less worried about the risk of going through insurance now. I'll post back when it's settled.

Car B. How can it be Car A's fault when it's been damaged on the back? Unless he was reversing Car B obviously hit him and is at fault. Deserves it, too, since he doesn't seem to know how to drive his car without clipping other vehicles.

Update for closure:

My adjuster contacted the other guy's insurance and they were not aware of the incident. My adjuster decide to proceed with no fault against me, reason being the other guy had a stop sign.

Thanks for all the comments.

Cheers

Are you saying your insurance company found you at fault? Or they consider it a not at fault claim against your policy?
