There is a LOT of footage missing from that. That is the exact same event my screen shot is from. So you need to make sure you have seen the ENTIRE, unedited video.
It's a shame kids got hurt, I HATE seeing that. If those American troops really were so horrible, they wouldn't have taken the kid with them to receive the best medical care possible. And trust me, once someone is under our care, we do the best possible job we can.

And no your pic isn't from that footage since the footage shows the journalist entering the area passing local militia and meeting ppl who are clearly unarmed. Even if they were involved in resisting a criminal occupation..they were UNARMED at the point of contact which means this was a mass execution..get your head out of the proganda handbook.....execution of UNARMED COMBATANTS is a WAR CRIME

a copy of the geneva convention can be found in any state/municipal library if your are truely a soldier then go read it to understand your duties to the people, not your undying loyalty to corrupt politicians and traitorous generals....

this ape seems to have a better understanding of right and wrong than our uniformed mercenaries

you can only compare this to saddam if the victim was a the president etc.. the victims were unarmed civilians

so were the victims in the videos.. according to rmemedic those were iraqi insurgents.. well at the point of contact they were unarmed making it a MAss execution...so which is it execution of unarmed civilians or execution of unarmed defenders of a nation protecting their nation from illegal occupation..

rmmeedic lemme ask you this..

if some nation were to invade canada unprovoked on fake evidence(now proven) would you not pick up arms to defend your country.. and if you did would you be a terrorist/insurgent?

Go find the full video. He was in a group of armed people that had just engaged Americans. There are large segments of that video missing that you didn't see that lay out the story. I don't get how I saw the full video, yet that is "propaganda" and yet the version you watched with clips purposely removed isn't "propaganda" itself.
Reporters know that if they are with an armed group, that they face risks.

At times during my tour we had reporters with us from different countries out on patrol. They fully accepted the risks they were taking by being with us and knew that someone could easily mistake one of them for being one of us simply because they were in the same group of people.

oh, FYI, the reason why us medics can't wear our crosses on our arms (you know, the symbol stating that I'm protected by the Geneva convention) is because we had a price on our heads. I mean a literal price on our heads. If they could tell someone was a medic in a patrol, guess who they are going to try and hit?
Taliban pays out to those that make kills, different prices for different targets. That Chinook that got shot down in 2010 (which BTW only has weapons for defense and was carrying a couple civilians) made some dirt poor guy some decent coin.

If those idiots didn't blow themselves up in public markets with only the intent of terrorizing their own country, or rape, murder, mutilate those that they say they are fighting for then maybe I would feel like they are victimized.
I had a day with a gentleman (in his home) that owned a school. A school that was bombed because he refused to teach what the Taliban told him to teach. He spoke pretty good english (obviously educated) and he talked about the positive changes he had seen in the area with us being there.

same ins saudi arabia.. i don't see our mercenaries in saudi arabia.. majority of the population is being oppressed by a minority dictator in bahrain.. why have you not invaded to protect the 70-80% of the Bahraini population?????? ohh thats right bahrain doesn't have oil.. and saudi Dictator family was placed in power by the us/uk.. hmmm so much for moral superiority in the end our uniformed mercenaries are exactly that guns for hire. i am offended by these jerks because i am from a military family. it runs in our blood since the bloody 1600's i refused to join the army here since it has sold its sole and would do ANYTHING if they get a big fat benifits package. and in some cases A LOT OF MONEY. Reserve being paid 100K for six months of voluntary tour of duty in afghanistan(stopped now i believe)... modern soldiers are a disgrace to those who fought in WW1/2.. now its a process of WAR profiteering.

Saddam used chemical weapons to mass murder. That is documented.
I'm not getting in to if the Iraq war was justified or not.

And I already am standing for this country. Would I be a terrorist? No. Because I wear a uniform. I would have a distinct and clear target, not just go out and cause mayhem and not give a damn if I took down my fellow countrymen.

I never once heard the word "terrorist" used while I was in country.

I have enough personal experiences that I can't really bring up on here that might get you to stop and think.

Do you want to know why I wanted to go to Afghanistan? It wasn't for oil (there is none there). It wasn't for money (I don't make that much, and I sure don't make enough to cover the risks).
I went to experience a part of the world that very few over here get to see first hand without it being through the eyes of CNN and CBC. I feel bad for the kids over there. I had people back home sending me care packages, but I asked that most of the package was for the kids over there.
I understand there are cultural differences. But the things they do to some of their women (and young boys) is despicable.

The middle east could never be what Canada is, but I really wish they could figure out how to be civil to each other and respect one another... And they sure weren't good to their own people before we got there.

I was there 8 months. I think I made just under $40,000. Considering my yearly Salary is $60,000 I don't think I made an obscene amount by being on tour.

Get your facts straight before you keep blabbering on about what you don't know.
 
AFGHANISTAN doesn't have oil thats right... do you even know why the soviets invaded AFGhanistan... BEcause AFG was found to have some of the highest reserves of ultra rare earth minerals. and thats what the invasion was about same as the Soviet invasion of AFG.. thats why one of the first orders of the karzai government was to issue mining licenses to western corporations instead of filing with the ICC.

to bad you got left out... the program to allow reserves that kinda money if they VOLUNTEERED a tour of duty was scrapped with in 6 months due to the political baggage it brought..i know guys who went to school with me made that kinda money and WENT BECAUSE OF THE MONEY. this was not for the regular troop who were required to go... only the reserves were exempt from compulsory overseas duty hence the large payout to motivate them.

and i do have my facts right.. thats why i am so enraged by these attacks. by both sides...
the boston attacks if they turn out to be by some home grown idiot.. they would still attack some other country..and you guys would happily run over instead of turning your guns and placing the criminal masters under arrest

it's the same video. your's has the scenes with the weapons in it edited out. perhaps you should watch the full length video before commenting with your hate propaganda.

your repeated comments about those militants being "illegally" shot by the apaches willfully ignores the fact that enemy combatants are enemy combatants, and fair game in a state of war, weapon in use or slung over the shoulder. there was/is nothing "illegal" about the decision to shoot them.

you are willfully ignoring the fact that those reporters were walking with a large group of armed militants who had just been in a skirmish with US troops, as observed and tracked by US forces. it is unfortunate that reporters were killed along with the militants, but in the combat situation, there was no way to know that those reporters were not militants. the bags and cameras they carried did appear to be weapons.

The only troops off limits from fire are those who have surrendered or those who have been rendered "out of combat" by sickness or injury (eg. infirm in a hospital, etc.)

And that is the Geneva convention.

The kids getting killed in the van is unfortunate, but unfortunately, **** like that happens in war. that's why wars are considered ugly.

in my personal opinion, i question why a person would drive into a kill zone with children aboard their vehicle, and then handle weapons in clear view of the apache gunships, thus making themselves legal targets of the apaches.
martyrdom comes to mind, and it makes my blood boil.
