AND HOW MUCH HATRED DID AMERICAN HELICOPTER PILOTS HAVE WHEN THE OPENED FIRE ON CIVILIANS AND JOURNALIST IN IRAQ(LEAKED COCKPIT VIDEO?)

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

If you're talking about the video I think you're talking about (and you probably are, because it was popularized by those people who didn't know what was actually in that video). It was debated on here years ago. Those pilots did their job. There were those there with weapons on the scene. They engaged legitimate targets that had just been in a fire fight on the ground with americans. They confirmed a few times in the video before they let loose. Then a random van pulls up to start pulling these guys out, and one of them is obviously carrying an RPG, so they let loose on the target again. There was no possible way to know that there were kids in that van... And what idiot drives a van with kids in it to a spot that just had 50cal raining down on it a minute before?

I'm not going to point in on this whole "well they hit me first" BS... The things I have to say would get me banned from the site permanently. And that has nothing to do with my career, it has everything to do with the things I've seen first hand both here and abroad.

The GF heard it that they are questioning someone that was "suspicious" in the area and apparently this person isn't an American.

In all honesty I hope they get who did this just hoping they won't use it as an excuse to invade another country

My point is the helicopter shouldn't even be there...

I'm hoping it wasn't someone from N Korea or with ties to that country... That could open the doors to something I don't want to think about. That's one part of the world I wouldn't want to go to war with. IEDs and gorilla tactics are one thing, but dirty bombs, chemical and biological weapons scare me the most. And they're crazy enough to use them.

I agree, it is a scary thought what could happen to all of us if the **** hit the fan over there.

I doubt we would go to war with NK since they are capable of defending themselves.. I expect them to blame Syria Iran since it meets the political agenda.. If it is NK probably a lot more sanctions......this is especially scary :>>>>>>>>> Only exception is if they discovered oil(Iraq) or rare/precious metals(AFG) on north Korean territory<<<<<<<: over this china will defend NK Tooth and Nail and since US is trying to contain china's right full growth all bets are off... WW4 any one???

You should have a look at the video. The random van shows up to help the wounded. There's nobody obviously carrying an RPG in the van. Firing on someone helping wounded is against the Geneva convention. The random van guy had his freakin' kid in the van, if that tells you anything.

and p.s. the 'legitimate targets' included a Reuters correspondent which is probably the only reason the sh*t hit the fan on this one.

I hope they're not dumb enough to provoke NK.
Didnt they learn anything from the Korean war? With the advent of technology, that war wouldn't be pleasant.

I say live & let be

Remember that Obama is not Bush - Obama will do things intelligently but at the end will bomb the **** out of that rat hole.

May I offer an alternative view, how much honor/loyalty to the country do our soldiers have when they refuse to arrest the prime minister for aggressive war when it came out that US navy seals had Osama surrounded but refused to go in and arrest him just to be able to invade AFG?
Assisting another country carry out "THE ULTIMATE WAR CRIME"(aggressive war) is also a war crime

AND HOW MUCH HATRED DID AMERICAN HELICOPTER PILOTS HAVE WHEN THE OPENED FIRE ON CIVILIANS AND JOURNALIST IN IRAQ(LEAKED COCKPIT VIDEO?) SURELY THEY WILL CALL IT A TERRORIST ATTACK BUT WHAT IF ITS IRAQIS CARRYING OUT A LEGITIMATE LEGAL COUNTER ATTACK? AFTER ALL THEY DONT HAVE LASER GUIDEd BOmBS LIKE us(CAN/US)… M NOT TRYING TO JUSTIFY THIS ATTACK but we know US is in 50+ countries militarily interfering/ oppressing democracy.... WTF do you expect?.. Its wrong but if they have the time to run around for fun then they have the time time to run towards Washington and freeze the senate/congress until they surrender to the international criminal court... I try to see the root cause not the emotional side since emotions blind us to the long term problems

yawn.

Attention seeking terrorists are getting angry because people keep blaming their attacks on tired conspiracies. It's only going to get worse as they try to earn their cred.

+1111111 I was gonna wait till I find the link to the video before I respond but not surprised to see uniformed mercenaries(modern soldiers) making excuses to justify war crimes

I'm curious about this. I know uniformed medics are exempt, obviously.
But what does it say about non-uniformed people? And what if those helping are believed to be carrying weapons?

Just trying to get my head around why the Apache pilots were cleared to open fire on the van.

Also, the RPG was pointed at the helicopter, which initiated the volley of 30mm fire.

You really need to watch the video... Nothing resembling anything close to a weapon not even a knife... These guys come up with things they think they saw to justify criminal activities..... I will try to find a link when I get home....

It is against the Geneva convention to shoot on identified unarmed Combatants forget civilians
