European championship (football…the real one)

The Colombian equalizer in last nights Copa America semi final was outrageous. Incredible skill. Such a good game.

Off balance, ridiculous angle.

We got lucky, soft penalty awarded.

For sure we would have lost the game if it went to penalty kicks.

I felt pretty sorry for the Danes. They look like they gave up after that penalty decision. I think the ref committed to his decision and didn’t want to walk it back.

The English team have been very lucky. Home stadium advantage time and time again. Pretty soft teams all the way through. They don't look like an elite giant killing squad to me.

I only tend to watch International soccer, so every 2 years for a month, i am tuned in.

This euro tournament has had a lot of drama. Italy vs England will be a good final. Evenly matched teams.

England did beat Germany. It wasn't the 7-1 Brazil defeating Germany, but they still had a lot of talent. If Germany had won that game, no one would have been surprised.

I watched that game, it wasn’t a classic. That wasn’t the Germany team that usually turns up either. Weird tournament in a way.

yup. every team had flaws. there was no super team.

France in particular was a disappointment. They had the talent but they couldn't put it together.

I am guessing fatigue played into it. There are so many games these guys play between domestic leagues, europe leagues, and internationals.

France really surprised me. They were almost arrogant. Italy have been pretty consistent though. The Copa America games have been way better. Brazil Argentina Sat night!

Good start for England but appears to me as if Italy has controlled play pretty much since late in the first half.
England's goal keeper looks good so if it comes to a shoot out, I might favour them to win. A shoot out can always go either way though.

I have never been a football fan. I don't understand any of the rules or strategies - none of it but I must say, I have been watching this tourney often and the games have been pretty exciting. Many come back games and higher scoring games.

I agree. I have NEVER been a fan but have watched this tourney. I dont know if its the camera work, the crowd noise, the commentators, the higher scores or what but it seemed more enjoyable to watch than any other games I had attempted to watch in the past.

Something has changed and I like it.
