Looks like it's going to be a 3-horse race now: Arsenal 51, ManC 50, Chelsea 49. My gut feeling tells me it's going to be ManC

It's also close for the last CL spot: only 7 points separate 4th (Liverpool) and 8th (Newcastle). ManU and Newcastle will need a lot to go right though to gain ground. Will be interesting to see if ManU can recover from the spanking Chelsea gave them.
 
Arsenal made to look like a Sunday pub team this morning. Could have been 10-1 that's how badly they were outplayed in the first half.

Arsenal, even in the FA Cup win, didn't look any better this past Sunday. Could have easily been another big victory by LFC.

I'm worried about the defense but, going forward, anyone can score. Playing a little tighter should see LFC solidify a top 4.
 
Ah, what a beautiful morning! Routine win against a mid-table team.

That, they are. He funny thing is the number of "die hard" manure fans falling off the wagon. There's a few at work that, all of a sudden, don't watch footy anymore.

that said, being an LFC fan, I know all about what it feels to cheer for a team that's been cut adrift of the top 4. Still lots of work left for this team before top 4 is a lock.

Yup another "hard core" supporter, only around for the good times. Bet you he's now a long time Chelsea or Man C fan now.

I was worried how the boys would handle the pressure of playing for first but they dispatched the Spurs shockingly easily. I think it's still Man C title to lose since they've got so many horses in the team.

I would agree especially since they have 2 games in hand, and only 3 points out of top spot.

However, I did not think Liverpool would be where they are. Their fate is in their hands*. They have games against Chelsea and ManCity at home. They have been fun to watch. They have been simply devastating offensively lately.

*tie breakers could come into it though.
 
Chelsea have the easiest schedule out of the top three. A lot depends on their champions League match up with PSG this month and whether they go through to the next round.

Liverpool are the team with least to lose. Not expected to be champions, but have guaranteed themselves a spot in Europe next year.
 
Only a bald faced liar would tell you they expected Liverpool to be in first on April Fools Day. I hope they can pull it out but a top 4 was the goal this year in order to increase revenue and have a shot at the top talent available for transfer.

I kid United supporters though; over twenty years of domination makes current events hard to take. Their problem will be if they fall into the same spiral LFC did in the 90's as most of Man U supporters are fairweather. Without European football, they stand to lose a lot of revenue and that isn't good for a highly leveraged owner. Worse yet, some people think that United can hire "another Fergie". I'm sorry, but he was a once in a generation manager like Shankly. There isn't a "magic bullet" solution for the team. I feel bad for Moyes because I do think he's a good manager having gotten the maximum from Everton with little investment but he got saddled with an ageing team in need of renewal in front of fans who will not hear of rebuilding.
 
After Shankly came Paisley and Fagan. The blueprint worked for a couple more decades.

Man Utd won't suffer like Liverpool did because they are the biggest club in England. Sure one year not in Europe will hurt the revenues.
