Engine cut off today

Another easy check is make sure both ends of ground cable are tight and well as the hot lead at the battery. If loose, they can give you an intermittent fault.

Well I went around the block twice, no issues, bike feels rougher than usual but no stalling , though did notice had to give a wee bit more gas , battery seems ok , though is 7 yrs old, no problems with start up , will ride longer on Monday and see, in the meantime if can get hold off frekey guy will show to him, thank you all for your suggestions and advice

What makes you think the battery is good? Did you load test it? Just because your headlight and tail light come on, doesn't mean your battery is good.
