Elio: Gas 3 wheeled "Car"

Successful vendors sell image not dork economy. The few golf cart drivers that end up with the things will lose their enthusiasm after being passed by a big rig on the highway (On a windy night in the rain).

Maybe not one of these but I think there's lot's of room in the market for something as yet unseen. I would drive a sit in, roll caged reverse trike with sporty performance that didn't cost 60large. Of course, going forward, it'll be pinned down with enough electronic nannies to render it unpalatable. Maybe I'll buy a canoe.

So the Elio was featured this morning on the Innovation Nation hosted by Mo Rocca, episode 13, OTA TV Ch 4 CBS. I cannot seem to find the complete clip online, but there is a couple of seconds here, 0:29-0.39s.

The inventor says that because the passenger and driver are inline and in a streamlined outer body such high mileage is possible. No mention of the specifics of the motor nor any real delivery dates. There were some shots of the car driving on snow covered but already cleared roads. I'm not sure Toronto weather would be very kind to it.

As the Canadian laws stands today wouldn't you be required to wear a helmet? Helmet indoors comes with negative stereotypes.
Yeah, but they claim to be working in the US to get more sensible helmet laws for enclosed three wheelers.
