That one has the colossal 212 kWh battery from the Hummer EV, and supposedly WT models with that battery are going to be built first, but that's not the US$40k version. They haven't released specs on a smaller-battery version or what the price (and weight) increment is for the big battery.
The Hummer battery has two layers of cells. It ought to be pretty simple to make a half-size version with one layer (and about 1400 lb less weight). I'll guess 250 mile (400 km) range (carrying less weight should make it a bit more efficient). Even that would be good enough for most people.
