Something like three years later, I'm going to lead another newbie friendly ride. We don't have nearly enough rides out here in Durham.

It's a nice scenic route with no 400 series highway for any M1 riders, with some nice twisty bits for a little fun. All bike types, all skill levels and 2uppers welcome. You don't even need to be from Durham :p. The pace will be reasonably quick, but newbie friendly. If you're looking to race, this probably isn't the ride for you.

Meet at the Tim Hortons/Burger King on Highway 2 in Oshawa, between Park Road and Stevenson Road. Saturday July 14th. Be there at 10am, leaving at 11am. One planned stop in Port Hope will include some lunch at Timmies/Pizza Pizza/Chicken Chicken. The whole trip, including stops will probably be three to four hours. Come fueled or early and I can direct you to the local gas stations.

Here's the route: https://maps.google.ca/maps?saddr=3...1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,14,15,16,17&t=m&z=12

Respond here to let me know who and how many are coming. Feel free to ask any questions here as well.

hey if you ever have one on other day i
would join. saturdays i work...
noticed you got a cbx250 great bike just sold mine this year....

You can still come out, as long as you have at least an M2 or are really masochistic and ride the back roads.

If you need a sweep I may be able to help.

Might bring my son along for a 2 up.

Will firm up later this week.

Had something like 8 riders last time. This is shaping up to be less than that. It's a nice cruise that won't eat up your whole day.

Sounds good, I will try and be there. Much depends on the "honey do" list status by Friday night.

Hi, i'm a new rider and interested.
However, my bike is running with high revs on idle after it heats up. Not sure why. If you don't mind me with potential technical problems, i would like to join.

Come on out. Try to show up closer to 10, maybe we can fiddle with your bike on site. As long as it runs ok at speed you should be fine anyway.

Okay, i'll show up earlier, have to drive from Toronto first :)
it doesn't seem to be as easy as "idle knob".
Most likely mixture, which isn't an easy fix.. Revs stay around 3k on 60-70km/hr

Fixing the mirror won't be an issue. Cheap mirrors available from Hong Kong. If they break because they're cheap I'll consider a Kawi part. It's the cracked front fairing that is really making me unhappy.
