Just wondering if anyone has had their bikes serviced at Dukes of Cycle in Etobicoke recently. I did a quick search on various threads and for the most part they seem positive.
Reason I'm asking is that I just found out that Maranello Motor Sport is moving and will no longer support or sell Ducati bikes. Only BMW.
So generally is Dukes of Cycle a good place to go get service done for Ducati or any bike really. I don't mind paying a premium if the service is good. Wait time is reasonable. Able to get parts as required. Etc.

Any personal reviews or opinions would be appreciated.

I take my Ducati V4R and MV and all my other bikes to PRO 6 and have for many years I wouldn’t take them to dukes of cycle ,I have been there one time and I didn’t find the experience very good .....they’ve got douche attitude, not as bad as Champion cycle but close....... They seem really unprofessional.

Didn’t know a new shop popped up in Etobicoke. Good nice to see stores being added instead of being shut down.

If the negative reviews keep up they won’t be around long.

Interesting that their existence overlapped with Dukes Cycle (est 1914 operated until 2019). Gary was probably too nice to tell them to F off and pick a different name to operate under in Toronto. Sad to see him retire. It doesn't sound like many people will have the same feeling about DoC.

Thanks for the reviews so far. It's difficult to judge from Google reviews only. Hard to know which are real and which are made up. Plus when I only see positive reviews I really have to wonder.
Too bad the experiences so far are not as positive as I would of hoped. I'm trying to find a replacement for my service needs now that all of a sudan Maranello Motor Sport no longer exists and the new dealer won't service Ducatis. Only BMW.
So far Pro6 seems like an option . Is there anyone else in the North York area that would come to mind.
I've been to Corsa Meccanica in the past. They seem to have too much work than they can handle. It was like everything was rushed ... So just a last resort for me.,

But to be fair, is anyone as bad as Champion? Heck the owner had a domestic with his wife in the lobby while I was there.

If you want the best, there is a guy out east (durham region) that is awesome with duc's. Obviously not the most convenient for you.

Just go to pro 6. i can go anywhere. I don’t care about convenience as I get the bikes trailered for service usually ,So I would only choose a shop that is the best not the closest ...I choose pro 6 for all my bikes for years , they even worked on my Sur Ron and shifter kart , I wish they could do all my cars too ... . No reason to go anywhere else.

my bike is currently at duke of cycle & has been going there for the last few years. Only major/preventive services that I can't do without proper tools. no issues.
wait time & price are subjective since we don't have a whole lot of choices. A handful of good shops around GTA are always going to be busy during the riding season.

Who do they have that knows their way around a Ducati? I've never heard of them being recommended for these bikes (for motor work).

They have experience with Ducati and more. You want a mechanics name? Call them

for regular maitenance, you don't need to have brand specific knowledge. price/wait time would be definitely on top of the priorities for regular services. extensive experience & knowledge helps when trouble shooting and dealing with brand specific known issues or major service, which duke of cycle has on italian bikes...imo & personal experience.

Yes, I guess I should have clarified - for me, since I do everything myself, I need someone with brand and model expertise when the **** really hits the fan. Pro 6 is a great shop and I know some of the guys pretty well, but wouldn't be the first place I would take my 998 for engine work. For that it goes to Monteal. The SXV goes to Maryland, and the Hawk goes to Ohio.
