ducati v2 in sport bike (csbk) and supersport (moto america). doesn't the ducati make over the hp limit (125/130) off the showroom floor?

how does it work, is the v2 hp restricted? herrin won the 200 on the bike..

CSBK Pro-Am Sportbike = 125hp.
Min weight = 350 lbs.
Do what you have to do so as not to blow over.
I haven't looked to see what Moto America requires, but I think they control things through rev limiters (ECU) and maybe airbox restrictors.

Poking the brain seems like it would be too easy to change the power between dyno and race. A physical air restriction is much harder to game.

The ECUs in Moto America are sealed so teams cannot make changes

The bikes are supposed to be " equalized " by limits in the ECU. They look at torque, hp, acceleration, top speed and some other things to come up with their formula.
