Ducati service within Toronto?

The folks at Speedworx (Racer5) in Markham do a lot with Ducatis, new and old. I don't own a Ducati but I get by their shop regularly and there are always Ducs in the service area.

i've had some stuff done at speedworx before on my ducati and it was fine! but their quote for interval service was close to maranellos.

i ended up going to gpbikes in whitby and it was definitely much cheaper. they even gave me a free movie pass for ducati owners to kill time at the theatre across the street!

tip: dont watch venom it sucks.

Just wondering if anyone has experience with the new Ducati Dealership in Vaughan? I believe they are called Ducati of Toronto... Specifically with their service
I think they opened up a year ago.

It's under Pfaff Group as i recall.

Nice people. Pfaff.
I have been going to Peninsula. Oakville.
Since 2012.
Never a problem.
On my 2nd Ducati Diavel.
Bought my SP2 from them. Decent experience overall...i kinda figured out quickly that you should just bypass the GM if you want stuff done pronto tho! 😁

Interesting...Pfaff Group. If I recall correctly. The previous Ducati Dealership was under the Maranello Group which was affiliated with BMW... Then when it closed they only kept the BMW side.
I'm curious about their service and hopelly this dealer lasts more than a few years.
It's good to see we finally have another Ducati Dealer back in the Toronto area.

I plan to have Giovanni do my Desmo in the spring. He will drive to where you are. I talked to him when I was looking at a Multistrada and he seemed very nice, was very helpful, and his prices seemed fair. Since the bike was 7 hours away, I had the sales guy do a walk around video, start the bike, etc and Giovanni was kind enough to review and let me know his thoughts.

Peninsula should be on a peninsula somewhere in a far far away land, they are a rip off and the guy that I talked to there on several occasions and really tried to give them my business was a prick.

As happy as I was with Ken, if Gio can come to me, I’d be willing to give him a try. Where does he advertise now? Used to be on Kijiji but don’t see it any more.

Is this mobile giovanni guy independent or work for a shop?
Ex-Ducati mechanic who now lives in the Barrys Bay area. He did the desmo and rear tire on my previous 2019 Scrambler 800.

You know I got the same vibes from them too ... was he a shorter guy? Not very friendly at all.

Is peninsula still selling cars too? I got the impression that they weren’t taking the bikes seriously when they could be selling cars at an order of magnitude more.

They were when I was last there about 2 years or so but all high-end fancy stuff (Maseratis, Ferraris, etc.).

The guy that I didn't particularly like was at the Ducati service desk and managed the moto side of things. Not the mechanic, no clue who that is and never talked to him. The guy selling the cars seemed fine. And they have some really nice vintage cars. When I was there they had a beautiful lotus and testarossa, however when I asked the price he said they were not for sale! I bet if @Evoex asked they would bring him a cappuccino and biscuit! Anyways, I talked to the ducati service desk guy several times in person and on the phone and always got the same bad vibe. The last time I was there I approached the counter and saw that he was sitting in his office facing the counter. I waited and waited he did not say anything, I thought he was busy and someone else was going to show up. After like 5 mins (yes 5 minutes) he came out of the office and said can I help you. He saw me the entire time and simply could have said I will be with you in a moment. And then to not say sorry about the wait. After that I was like Fuk this guy. On another note, one of my workers years ago bought a Subaru from them and had a bunch of issues, that should have been a red flag for me back then! I always thought the ducati business was completely separate from peninsula but I think it is all under the same umbrella.

@Relax and @Fuzzbuster PM me and I'll give you Giovanni's contact info. Sorry for the late reply but I wanted to check with him it was OK for me to share.

For what it's worth, I have no association with him other than I know he came highly recommended on a Ducati forum, and that I spoke and emailed with him several times and he was very helpful. I have not yet had him do any work for me.
