I have a 2013 SM which I put a corbin on (I bought it used) Also 5'8" and am comfortable reaching the ground. First mod I did (before delivery) was had the dealer put Avon Distanzias on, because i travel offroad as well. I have bought the seat concepts before and they are a great product. If you can make it to Timmies (leslie and lakeshore) this thursday on bike nite i will be there from around 8 to 9, parked on the lawn. After that we head out for some in town twisty riding. Post here if you think you can make it, I will watch for you.

Hey thanks for the offer but I won't be able to make it, it would be close to a 40 minute ride down (From Newmarket). But. when I decide on the DRZ I would defiantly be up for some riding sometime. What do you think of your DRZ so far?
 
fun bike, hands get a bit tingly at 401 speeds after an hour, thats not its forte.
in town hooliganism its priceless
 
Fun bike, *** usually gets sore after a hour of riding.

Tomorrow at 8pm, Weston and 401 - canadian tire parking lot. Couple guys with supermoto are meeting up. Everyones welcome.
 
I've hear the seat sucks big time! Oh well, I'll put up with it or buy Dr.scholl's a3spads lol..
 
What sprockets sets are you guys using? I replaced mine with the stock 14,44 because I plan to be off road most of the time and read that was a good compromise.

At 100kph I'm at about 6500-7000rpm. Where is redline on these things? I have an aftermarket tach/speedo with no redline.

FWIW I cut 1" out of my stock seat to help get feet on the ground. After a weekend in the Ganny my but was sore for a couple days.

S model? The stock sprox on the SM is 15-41.
 
seat concepts seat cures that issue and is reasonably priced
corbin expensive but works too
will get picks soon, still bolting parts on
 
So I ended up purchasing a new DRZ 400 SM, can't wait to pick up it next week. Like to say thanks guys for all the info, and I'm sure Ill have a blast as my second bike.

Congrats! which dealer did you get it from? post pics when you get it!!
