Drug/dental insurance recommendations

Searching for a drug, and possibly dental combo insurance, for my mother.

So far Costco seems to have a reasonably good drug coverage under manulife. Dental not so much.

Any recommendations for plans/companies?

TIA

If it is for your mother, and she is over 65, the new senior dental plan should work. The issue is finding a dentist nearby that will work with it.

I've never found a private dental plan that worked out financially. With most, you will lose money fast (when I looked before, break even was somewhere around $5000 in yearly dental work and you were paying 50%, they were paying 50% so most years you would be way under break even).

As much as the Liberals vastly overpromised and underdelivered with their "free dental care" that is not free by any stretch of the imagination, it does seem to be helpful dental insurance for older canadians.

Yes so far all dental plans I’ve seen don’t make much sense with the % and total maximum cap vs premium paid. It’s $195/month regular manulife and maximum around 900/1250 for the year.

Yeah.. I found the same when looking for wife and me.
They're not in the business of losing money.. I expect it would be impossible, or nearly, to find a plan that you come out ahead with.
