Dropped helmet as occasional passenger helmet

Just how useless is a dropped helmet?
Complete garbage or alright as an occasional for passengers who don't have their own (once or twice a year)

If you don't value your occasional passengers lives, go ahead and use it.

A dropped helmet is fine as long as it was not a huge drop + nothing was inside it.

Got it, we all have the segment of friends we only like occasionally

Your helmet is still a good helmet. The manufacturers fabricate reasons for you to purchase new helmets.. Its all in the name of money.. They even tell you now helmets expire

Bike ripped onto it, I'm getting a new one ASAP

Some *** hat knocked mine off a table at school onto linoleum tiled floor and it was white marks, which I'm sure are just in the clear coat but if you see a crack, I'd say trash it and get a new one. There is also a legal 10-year expiration date for the foam stuff inside.

No, that's the clowns on these forums...

OP I sent my 5 year old helmet that's had about a dozen or so minor drops to Shoei for an inspection, it still got the green light. These were either seat or handlebar height.

Put your helmet in water, if it floats it's still good.... Or is that eggs?
