Drone delivery


Non-autonomous. Remotely controlled by a person with a joystick. Seems like it would take longer and cost more than a bike courier.
Maybe it’s just me but that sounds too complex and isn’t really any better than a courier / Ubereats or whatever other service.

Let it get there without human intervention and I’ll be impressed.

I assumed they were autonomous when I saw the uproar. It's a reasonable test environment, slow, low power, minimal damage and loss if they screw up etc. Being manually controlled, they are just dumb and a vector to extract investor money. At the very least, the person holding the remote should be overseas is a cheap labour country.

Probably has more to do with dealing with the obstacles whether they be human, animal or inanimate objects.

Now in the sky, power lines in a city, tree, and wind will prove to be quite the hurdles to overcome
