OK, piece of cake on a little bike, try that on a full size bike -- not gonna happen. Also, do this in your 600RR for a season and you'll be at the fab shop getting the hinge-on your stand repaired.

I thought so too. Until I tried it with my GL650. It's surprisingly easy

I did it for years in the garage with my zx6. Still has the original hardware on the kickstand.

Smooth surface is key

The kickstand spin truck is handy for a light well balanced bike. Not so much on a powered chesterfield like my VTX or any other heavy cruiser with less than ideal balance points or kickstands that aren't going to support 800-1000+ pounds..

It's a simple trick, easy for some, not so easy for others. I learned the hard way after busting off the kickstand on my little Ninja -- there is a finite number of times you can do this before you break the stand or the stand's mount. It's nearly impossible on a cruiser, ADV, or heavy ST -- you can do it on most sportbikes and midweight standards.

I live on a quiet street, and my driveway slopes into the garage -- I find it a PIA to push bikes backward uphill to turn them around in the morning, so I just park on the driveway. Maybe I should buy a turntable.
My buddy is an authorized installer of them.
