Sorry, got to say he deserved it if what she claims is true. Glad she didn't go the suicide route. Can't imagine what it is like to living in a coulture where you lose your honour if you get raped and can get killed for something that wasn't your fault.

Rapists are always the scum of society.
But she can rape me anytime

and ask for round twoI would probably feel pretty good
Well..Turkey is not Afghanistan..just sayin. Not arguing about what she did or didn't do..more that Turkey is different.

Yes, in our eyes but not everyone sees it like we do. Some people rather kill the woman for being raped, cause you know she's dishonoured her family by getting raped. **** even typing that feels so wrong.
Thanks for the geography lesson...
One of my closest friends is Turkish, and my family comes from their neighbouring countries Greece.
Maybe coulture was the wrong word to use. I don't want to point out one religion because I know that not all from that religion are the same or practice the same.
Easy..I was being very nice and pointing out that Turkey is a mostly secular, fairly moderate country, it was not a geography lesson. I agree the belief that you are averse to is not correct but I wanted to point out that Turkey is mostly not that way.

I interpreted your post this way =D.
Its absolutely true that Turkey, generally, is a modern, secular, and in comparision to other countries, moderate.
So the non-secular other half of Turkey IS "that way"? Pray tell how would you define "the other half"? And I used term "half" for a reason, unless you think Turkey is that Communist bulwark it was 30 years ago.
At what point did I use the term "half"? Reading comprehension much??
Read the edit. I used half, because Turkey is NOT mostly secular....once again, unless you're thinking of the Attaturk inspired military regime propped up by NATO against the Soviets.
Turkey is a parliamentary representative democracy. Since its foundation as a republic in 1923, Turkey has developed a strong tradition of secularism.[SUP][51][/SUP] Turkey's constitution governs the legal framework of the country. It sets out the main principles of government and establishes Turkey as a unitary centralized state.
